Carol Vertiz Kroetzsch is currently pursuing licensure as a psychologist with the Ordre des psychologues du Québec (OPQ). She is supervised by Dr. Carmen Quintana, a licensed psychologist and OPQ member. To book an appointment or join the waiting list, please contact Oak Intercultural Psychology, which coordinates with the supervisor when the clinician is an intern or doctoral trainee (the supervisor ensures that the intern is competent to provide the requested service). Once the therapeutic process has begun, you will receive Carol’s direct contact information.

Education:
Carol holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (2002) – Comparative evaluation of studies in Québec (2022) – and is completing a Master’s degree in Humanistic Gestalt Psychotherapy. She has also trained in mindfulness, compassion, and nonviolent communication (MICNV), cognitive-behavioral therapy, dance therapy, and the IDÉ PAAL program (Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity).

Experience:
Carol has extensive clinical and community experience, gained at the Mexican Ministry of Health in comprehensive care programs, as well as through her work as a professor and facilitator of clinical, psychoeducational, and community workshops. She has worked with diverse populations (children, adults, seniors, individuals living with chronic illnesses, or undergoing major life transitions). Her approach is sensitive, integrative, and culturally attuned, emphasizing the therapeutic relationship as a space for support and exploration. She is currently developing specialized clinical skills to provide psychological care rooted in a culturally sensitive perspective.
